Meet Belmont’s latest More Than a Number, Harry & Tammie!

Status
Tammie: Paramedic, Mum.

Harry: Paramedic, Dad.

Have you always been involved in fitness or exercise?
Tammie: Yes

Harry: Does running away from responsibilities count?

What have you done previously?
Tammie: Prior to children I ran 10kms a day

Harry: Started lifting at 23.

Did you have a goal when you first joined Planet Fitness?
Tammie: Yes. To increase my strength, and to annoy my husband at home, work AND at the gym.

Harry: To get some time away from my wife and kids.

Have you achieved what you originally set out to do?
Tammie: Yes

Harry: No, they followed me here!

What was your perception of gyms/health clubs before you joined? Has it changed after joining Planet Fitness?
Tammie: I thought they were overpriced (& full of w&#kers), Planet is excellent value & the “no w&#ker” policy helps 🙂

Harry: I’ve always enjoyed gyms, but I like Planet because it’s welcoming to everyone.

What are your fitness goals for the future?
Tammie: To deadlift 120kg

Harry: To have the perfect Dadbod.

Biggest obstacles you have had to overcome on your fitness journey?
Tammie: Learning my way around the weights room.

Harry: My wife & kids, also my love of Chinese food.

Do you have sources if inspiration? If so, what are they?
Tammie: MaryAnn in the creche. She is happy to have our children each day, and in return we get our sanity.

Harry: I have a man crush on Jack Everett, I want to be just like him.

What is your weekly fitness regime?
Tammie: If I’m not on shift and the creche is open, I go to the gym.

Harry: We go as many days as we can, when shifts and creche allow.
