Full-time working dad

Have you always been involved in fitness or exercise?
Yes, rugby league at school. Gold most of my life. I have also had stints at tennis and cricket. The gym has been a staple.

Did you have a goal when you first joined Planet Fitness?
Yes, to lose weight and keep fit.

Have you achieved what you originally set out to do?
No, not yet. That’s always my motivation. I sometimes think I’ll always look the way I do.

What was your perception of gyms/health clubs before you joined? Has it changed after joining Planet Fitness?
I have always enjoyed going to the gym. It does seem like more of a young persons place but that makes sense.

What are your fitness goals for the future?
To lose weight and keep fit.

Biggest obstacles you have had to overcome on your fitness journey?
The aches and pains of previous injuries and age.

Do you have sources of inspiration? If so what are they?
I am inspired to workout and exercise to set an example to my children. If dad can do it, anyone can.

What advice do you have for those who are thinking of joining Planet Fitness?
Just do it! Put in the work, turn up every day and you’ll reap the rewards!

What is your weekly fitness regime?
I try for 5 days a week. 40 mins cardio plus some weights. I also enjoy walking regularly.
